The main business of the Company is commodity trading globally.
It is a company of Tanzanian origin, a country with fastest growing economy in sub-Saharan Africa with strong background in Agriculture making it the ideal agri-business company in the Region.
As Tanzania is also enjoying huge deposit of natural gas, Gefu is looking to become one of the main players in the sector.

MANAGEMENT
Salum K. Mkumba – The Executive Chairman
Mr. Salum is founder and majority shareholder of the Company.
He has over thirty years experience in the areas of Petroleum, fertilizers and Constructions equipments.
He started his careers with the only Petroleum Refinery in Tanzania (TIPER) where he joined in 1989 as Management Trainee cum Mechanical Engineer. In fourteen years he had opportunities to hold various senior positions as Engineer, material Supervisor and Engineering and Procurement Manager.
He also worked with local Caterpillar representative (Mantrac) as Parts Sales Manager from 2003 to 2005.
From 2005 to 2018 Mr. Mkumba has been working as General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the State owned fertilizer trading Company (TFC).
He holds Bsc degree in mechanical Engineering from University of Dar Es salaam and MBA in International Trade from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT)
